AUDITIONS for the
ATLANTA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CHORUS
August 24-25, 2008

The Grammy-winning 200-voice ATLANTA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CHORUS performs large-scaled symphonic/choral works under the direction of Music Director, Robert Spano and Principal Guest Conductor, Donald Runnicles. CLICK HERE to view the 2008-2009 season's concerts.

The ASO CHAMBER CHORUS, a select group of 60 singers drawn from the ASO Chorus, performs more intimate works - from the Baroque to modern periods - in 2008-2009, under the direction of Music Director, Robert Spano, guest conductor Nicholas McGegan and ASO Director of Choruses, Norman Mackenzie.

All singers volunteer their services and are selected by audition. Requisites for auditioning include previous choral experience, music-reading ability and availability to meet the schedule. Rehearsals for the ASO Chorus are held on Monday evenings throughout the concert season. On choral performance weeks, there are rehearsals or performances each night of the week, Monday through the final performance.
